Alonzo C. Webb was born in Nashville, Tennessee and studied at the Arts Student League in New York and the Art Institute of Chicago. During the 1920s and 1930s he lived and worked in both France and the U.S.

He is best known for his beautiful architectural and landscape images of French and Italian cities. He also etched American views of New York, Chicago and Pittsburgh.

A.C. Webb’s etchings display a superb draftsman’s touch. He was a member of the American Artistic Association in Paris and several of his engravings were acquired by the French government. His beautiful etchings are prized by collectors to this day.
