A major figure in the Wiener Werkstätte, Maria Likarz was a multi-talented artist particularly in design. Trained at the prestigious Vienna School of Applied Arts, Likarz explored a variety of fields including enamel, porcelain, wallpaper, mural painting and especially textile and fashion design.
Likarz was a prolific contributor to the Wiener Werkstätte and her postcards ranged from holiday greetings to avant garde fashion.
