Follier-Morales, Lise
1960 –
French, Korean
Korean-born and Paris-based artist Lise Follier-Morales has been a paper conservator at the Bibliothèque Nationale for over 4 decades and has had her own printing studio since 2017. Her flower images are not only beautiful but poetically titled, often with a musical theme. Follier-Morales’ linogravures are cut from one matrix using the “planche perdue” method and use as many as 13 different colors. These technically accomplished and artistically appealing prints are a lovely combination of Eastern and Western aesthetics.
