 Martin, Charles 1884-1934
 A pre-eminent Art Deco artist and illustrator, Charles Martin began his education in Montpelier at the Ecole des Beaux Arts before relocating to Paris to continue his studies. He was a major contributor to such deluxe publications as the Gazette du Bon Ton, Femina, Le Rire, Vogue, Modes et Manieres d'Aujourd'hui, Feuillets d'Art and others. He is also known for his book illustrations, posters, costume and set decoration, wallpaper and textile design and interiors.
